SIGGRAPH 2013 hosts an ACM Student Research Competition, which takes place in three stages. In the first stage, prior to the conference, 15 student posters are selected as semi-finalists. In the second stage, during the Tuesday poster session at the conference, the semi-finalists each have 2-4 minutes to present their work to a panel of distinguished judges, who select six finalists. In the third stage, during the Wednesday poster session, the finalists present their work to the judges for 5-7 minutes each. The judges will select three winners to present their work to SIGGRAPH 2013 attendees during the ACM SRC Final Presentation. These winners go on to the international ACM Student Research Competition.
