A light transport manipulation that operates directly on the path-space of full global illumination solutions for plausible editing shading effects such as caustics, diffuse/glossy indirect illumination, and shadows. Also: selection and visualization tools to inspect and isolate lighting effects.

Radiance regression functions (RRF) for fast rendering of global illumination in scenes with dynamic local light sources. A radiance regression function represents a non-linear mapping from local and contextual attributes of surface points, such as position, viewpoint, and lighting condition, to their indirect illumination values.

A precomputation-based approach to accelerate renderings of very complex and highly scattering materials built from a small set of exemplars. The algorithm separates low-order and high-order scatterings and approximates the latter, which is usually smooth but expensive to compute, using a modular flux-transfer framework.
